We are currently seeking an experienced Web Developer in the Wylie, TX area for a leading online dealer of bullion and precious metals products. This is a young company experiencing tremendous growth and are looking for smart Web Developers to develop and enhance company systems. The Web Developer responsibilities will include analyzing, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining company systems, primarily in a LAMP environment.
This is a direct hire position with a salary between $55k-$80k approximately, depending on experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Build and maintain scalable, high volume, Magento based e-commerce website.
● Analyze, design, code, test, and implement new features to existing web applications, as well as new web applications.
● Technologies include, but are not limited to, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Linux, Apache, PHP, Python, MySQL, Magento.
● Support and configure production systems and analyze problems. Participate in light pager rotation for production support as required.
● Setup and maintain local development and test environments.
● Work in a small team setting, as well as independently to accomplish all projects.
● Run ad hoc SQL reports for management.
● Answer support related email and phone calls to internal customers as well as end user customers.
● Assist non-technical personnel as a general computer resource.
REQUIREMENTS (Required):
● 3-5 years experience writing OO software in a language such as Java, PHP, Python, C#, C++.
● Expert in HTML and experienced with Javascript, AJAX, CSS, XML.
● Previous experience programming with PHP, preferably with one or more PHP frameworks.
● Experience with MySQL or other RDBMS. Experience with SQL and ORM programming a plus.
● Basic-to-intermediate Unix skills.
● Excellent written and oral communications skills.
● Must be able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines. Should also be able to work collaboratively in a small group.
● BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
REQUIREMENTS (Preferred, but not required):
● Experience with Magento or other e-commerce platform.
● System admin skills such as Linux administration, networking knowledge.
● Experience with graphics software such as Photoshop.
● Experience with source code management tools
