MULTI-SKILLED WEB SERVICES MANAGER (Kelowna, BC)
We at Aquent have a fantastic position that we are now accepting applications for. The position title is Manager of Web Services. This isn't your ordinary Web Manager job description though... the role is an amalgamation of management, art direction and development, a chance to flex your (already developed) management muscles while still remaining hands on.
THE DAY TO DAY:
* Work closely with the Brand Manager and reporting to the Director of Production
* Manage a team of 5 direct reports that include Designers and Developers
* Manage the largest children's website on the planet in terms of creative, development and content!
* Co-ordinate production schedules
* All art direction and usability for this extensive, highly interactive website
* Develop and prototype new features, functions and interfaces to meet brand and user requirements
* Produce creative briefs and style guides
* Ensure quality and continuity of work
* Gather review and validate project requirements
THE MUST HAVES:
* Strong interactive design portfolio
* 6-7 years working experience in web and interactive design including at least 2 years in Art Direction and staff management
* Superior knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, Flash, Javascript
* Good knowledge of PHP, MySQL and MS SQL
* Expert in web authoring tools such as Dreamweaver and Photoshop
This position is located in beautiful Kelowna, BC which has a glorious amount of sunshine in Summer and perfect powder in Winter! If relocating, a package will be offered to the chosen candidate. A full benefits package is available and holiday time starts at 3 weeks.
