We are looking for a Flash Multimedia Developer to work on a variety of multimedia projects for both internal and external clients. You will work out of our location in Oklahoma City, which is our second largest divisional office and which employs a full support staff. You will also receive guidance from our Senior Instructional Technologist regarding both design and development processes.
Job Responsibilities
As a Flash Multimedia Developer, you will build multimedia elements, XML - drive interactive exercise and data-driven applications as well as presentations. Your application development work will be done in cooperation with a wide range of people, including creative directors, video and sound producers, developers, architects, QA system engineers and product managers.
Your specific duties as a Flash Multimedia Developer will include:
Developing and building applications in Flash CS3
Gathering and understanding client requirements
Creating technical designs and documenting all system changes.
Performing unit/system and integration testing on your own work and the work of others
Participating in Design and Code Reviews
Following and enhancing existing development processes.
Measuring and verifying that new and old code has acceptable performance and scalability.
Consistently meeting project deadlines
Works closely with Practice Lead, individual project managers and other project team members
Working with graphic designers in creating enriching interactive experiences
Performing regular on-call duties
Job Requirements
As a Flash Multimedia Developer, you must be self-motivated and able to perform effectively on a wide range of projects in a fast-paced and matrixed environment, with or without supervision. You must also be highly detail oriented with excellent organizational, time-management and prioritization skills. It is also important that you have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to foster and maintain positive client relationships
Specific qualifications for the Flash Multimedia Developer position include:
Bachelors of fine Arts in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Interactive Design
OR degree in a related area
3 to 5 years of Flash development experience
Proficiency with Action Script, HTML and other JavaScript
Team-oriented experience
Top-secret clearance or the ability to obtain it
Ability to grasp a wide range of content areas
Ability to apply business skills to management of client relationships
Ability to present and write sections of proposals
The following are highly desirable:
Understanding of After Effects
Experience on integration with web technologies such as XML, JSON, JavaScript, Web Services, ASP, NET
Up-to-date on Flash trends and best practices; Design patterns, Flex, FABridge, Apollo
Strong experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
Knowledge of user-centered UI design, human factors, human-computer interaction and usability highly desired
Timeliness, accuracy and quality of assigned project work (75-85% accuracy is expected in all deliverables)
Experience with and ability to adhere to Section 508 and SCORM
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the full range of FLASH technologies and their use in instructional delivery
Membership in professional development organizations
Knowledge of Flash video development; other video experience, a plus
Extensive knowledge of Flash CS3; knowledge of AS2 and AS3, preferred
