How to create a menu ?

You must first create a content item before creating most menu buttons.

There are two ways  to create a button:

   1. From the menu manager
   2. While editing a content item   

   1.  From the Joomla Administrator menu, click Menu > mainmenu.
   2. To add a new menu item, click the "New" icon in the upper right.
   3. In the "Content" area on the left, click the "Link - Content Item" radial button.*
   4. Click Next.
   5. In the page "Add Menu Item :: Link - Content Item," Complete the following fields:
          * Name
          * Content to Link
   6. Choose whether you want the link to open in a new window or not.
   7. If the content is a child item, select the parent in the Parent Item field
   8. Click the "Save" icon in the upper right.

* To create static content, click the "Link - Static Content" radial button. 

 
   You can also create a menu button while editing a content item:

   1. Click the "Link to Menu" tab to the right of the editor.
   2. Select a Menu where you are creating the button (default is mainmenu)
   3. Complete the 'Menu Item Name" field
   4. Click the "Link to Menu" button
